“Petros Fuzzhead” is the solo project of Petros Vyzoukis, founding member and main songwriter/lyricist of the now-historic The Fuzzy Nerds, one of the most distinctive bands of the Greek alternative rock scene, with a continuous creative presence to this day through various other projects, including Tristessa and Blind Them With Science, among others. The project currently exists in two different formats: Petros Fuzzhead (full band), both on stage and in the studio, and Petros Fuzzhead (loop therapy), a solo performance built around live looping techniques. To date, Petros Fuzzhead has released one full-length album, “The War Is Near”, and nine singles, receiving positive reviews and coverage in both Greece and abroad. His second solo album is currently in production. While retaining elements of the sonic identity of The Fuzzy Nerds, the solo project also brings to the forefront many of the musical ideas and elements that had remained deliberately in the background over the years.
