DJ EPK

The DJ EPK that gets you booked

A DJ EPK — an electronic press kit — is the page a promoter opens before deciding to book you. It replaces the PDF and the folder of attachments with one link that shows what you play, where you've played it, and who to write to.

Unlike a singer or a band, a DJ sells the room. Your EPK should lead with sets, residencies, routing, and floor stats — not a long bio. The reader has ninety seconds. Make them count.

THE ANATOMY

What a DJ EPK needs

Six things a booker expects to see near the top. Miss any and they scroll past you.

RECENT SETS OR MIXES

One or two current sets at the top — SoundCloud, Mixcloud, or a hosted upload. A booker needs to hear the sound in seconds, not scroll.

RESIDENCIES & CLUB HISTORY

The rooms you play regularly. Residencies signal trust: another promoter has already put you on their floor, on repeat.

FESTIVAL & VENUE HISTORY

A tight list of the rooms and festivals that matter, with year. Cut the small-town one-offs unless they are recent and relevant.

FLOOR STATS

Crowd size, notable rooms, sold-out dates. This is the closest a promoter gets to seeing you play without being there.

UPCOMING DATES & ROUTING

A live routing block so agents can plan around your dates and promoters can slot you into a run they're already building.

ONE CLEAR BOOKING EMAIL

Not a form, not three managers. The one address a promoter should write to, with territory if you have agents.

THE PROCESS

How to make a DJ EPK

Four steps from a folder of assets to a link a booker will open. For the full walkthrough, see how to make an EPK.

01

Pull your sets and dates

One or two recent sets, your residencies, the festivals worth listing, and your upcoming routing.

02

Write three lines

Who you are, the sound, and where you're based. Third person. No adjectives you can't back up.

03

Add stats and press

Monthly listeners or Mixcloud plays, notable rooms, one or two quotes with the outlet and date.

04

Publish and send the link

You get a live link at getmerito.com/your-name. Send it in one line to the promoter, agent, or booker.

FAQ

Questions about DJ EPKs

Recent sets or mixes, residencies, festival and venue history, floor stats where relevant, upcoming dates and routing, a short bio, and one booking email. A promoter should be able to hear the sound and see the rooms without hunting.
