How to make an EPK
An EPK — an electronic press kit — is the one link you send when a promoter, label, or journalist asks who you are. Making one is less about design and more about deciding what to leave out.
Five steps, about an hour of work, and you have a page that does the pitching for you.

Before you start
Have these ready before you open the builder. It'll take you fifteen minutes; skipping this step is why most people don't finish.
- Music links — Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud, or Bandcamp
- A few high-resolution photos, landscape and portrait
- Streaming stats — monthly listeners, top city, follower count
- One or two press quotes with the outlet name and date
- Upcoming dates and any notable recent ones
- The one booking email a promoter should write to
THE PROCESS
How to make an EPK, step by step
STEP 01
Gather your links and assets
Before you open the builder, pull the pieces together in one place: streaming links, a couple of photos, current stats, and press quotes. Ten minutes here saves an hour later.
STEP 02
Write a three-sentence bio
Third person. First sentence: who you are and where you're based. Second: what the sound is and what you've just released. Third: one line of context — the tour, the residency, the label. Cut everything else.
STEP 03
Add music, stats and press
Drop in the streaming links so tracks play in-page. Pick two or three numbers — monthly listeners, top city, view count — that back up the pitch. Add one press quote with the outlet and date; leave the rest out.
STEP 04
Add live dates and a booking email
List upcoming shows with date, city, and venue. Add any recent notable ones. Set one booking email a promoter can write to, and territory if you have agents. No forms, no runaround.
STEP 05
Publish and share the link
Hit publish. Your EPK is live at getmerito.com/your-name. Send that link in your next pitch, on your Instagram bio, in your email signature — one URL that does the work for you.
